Garden

Here are our tomatoes, peppers and basil started from seed. Four Better Boy tomatoes, 5 bell peppers and two basil plants. I just planted banana peppers but they aren't up yet. It sure is hard to find banana pepper seeds.

We have other seeds that we will plant directly in the ground---radish, cucumber, zucchini and cantaloupe. We also have dill and chives. I bought rosemary and thyme plants because they are perennials. And I bought bachelor's buttons and cosmos.

Bachelor's Buttons and Cosmos, Bright Lights Mix

I chose the orange and yellow Cosmos because I thought the more familiar Cosmos colors would blend too much with the colors of the Bachelor's Buttons. Also, I was looking for sunflower-type colors without actually planting sunflowers. I love them, but so do the squirrels.

My mom always planted bachelor's buttons because I always loved them and asked her to plant them. Ahhh----bells of Ireland, I don't have seeds but that's another I always asked my mom to plant. I loved the green flowers and they always attracted green inch-worms (caterpillars), which I enjoyed playing with (when I was little!!)

Now go to my other blog, Violet Obsession, to see what came in the mail today :-)

Cosmos are so pretty, they look like they were made with a sweep of a paintbrush. Sounds like you're going to have lots of yummy veggies later!

What a lovely way to describe them!
